Lawn Mowing in Austin, TX
Lawn mowing is the routine cutting, edging, and cleanup that keeps your grass at a healthy height, and you need it because grass that grows too long stresses the root system, invites weeds, and quickly looks unkempt. Green Edge Lawn Care provides scheduled mowing on a weekly or bi-weekly cadence tuned to the fast-growing warm-season grasses common across Austin — St. Augustine, Bermuda, and Zoysia.
Every visit includes a precise cut at the correct height for your grass type, clean edging along walkways, driveways, and beds, string-trimming around obstacles, and a full blow-down of clippings from hard surfaces. We sharpen our blades regularly so your grass is cut cleanly rather than torn, which reduces browning and disease.
Our crews arrive on a consistent day each week so you always know when to expect us, and we send a quick notification when the job is done. No contracts, no surprises — just a sharp, healthy lawn you can be proud of.

Customer Reviews
“Green Edge completely turned our lawn around. It was patchy and full of weeds when we moved in, and after one season on their fertilization program it’s the greenest yard on the block. The crew is always on time and professional.”
“Marcus and his team are fantastic. They mow every Thursday like clockwork, always text when they’re done, and the edging is razor sharp. Best lawn service we’ve had in Round Rock, hands down.”
Lawn Mowing FAQs
During the peak growing season (April through September), most Austin lawns benefit from weekly mowing. In the cooler months, every other week is usually enough. We’ll recommend a cadence based on your grass type and how fast it grows.
By default we mulch clippings, which returns nutrients to the soil and reduces waste. If you prefer bagging — for example during heavy growth or leaf season — just let us know and we’ll bag and haul them away.
We typically maintain St. Augustine at 3 to 4 inches. Cutting it too short scalps the lawn and lets weeds move in, so we follow the one-third rule and never remove more than a third of the blade in a single mow.
No. As long as we have gate access, you don’t need to be home. We’ll text you when the crew is on the way and again when the job is complete, with photos on request.
